Established in December 2014, the Department of Urology Surgery at Peking University International Hospital is comprised of a core medical team made up of three chief physicians, four associate chief physicians, and two resident physicians, all of whom have extensive experience from top-tier tertiary general hospitals, including Peking University Clinical Medical School. The department is led by Professor Xia Ming, a nationally renowned urologist.
The Department of Urology Surgery specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of a broad range of urological conditions, including complex urinary tract stones, urinary tract tumors, prostate diseases, adrenal disorders, obstructive urological diseases, kidney transplantation, male reproductive health conditions, and female urological disorders.
The Department has achieved a high level of expertise in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for urological tumors, laser lithotripsy for urinary stones, transurethral laser resection of prostate and bladder tumors, female stress urinary incontinence surgery, kidney transplantation, and a variety of andrological procedures.
The Department is organized into dedicated subspecialty teams focusing on urologic oncology, urolithiasis, adrenal diseases, prostate disorders and voiding dysfunction, kidney transplantation, and andrology. Each team is composed of highly skilled clinicians who deliver personalized, patient-centered diagnostic and therapeutic services based on best practices and the latest medical evidence.
