Dr. XIA Ming has held various professional positions, including Executive Editorial Board Member for the 7th and 8th terms of the Chinese Journal of Urology, Editorial Board Member of the Journal of Urology, Member of the Urology Branch of the Beijing Medical Association, Member of the Beijing Society of Integrated Traditional and Western Medicine in Andrology, Member of the Urology Committee of the Beijing Physicians Association, Special Editorial Board Member of the Anhui Journal of Medicine, and Member of the Department of Urology at Capital Medical University.

He has published more than 70 academic papers, led multiple national and provincial/ministerial-level research projects, and supervised more than 10 master’s and doctoral students.

Academic and social positions

Dr. XIA Ming has been engaged in clinical, medical, and educational work for 40 years. In 1995, he earned his Ph.D. in Urology from the Department of Urology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Peking Union Medical College, under the guidance of Professor Zang Meifu, a renowned Chinese urologist. After graduation, he remained at the Department of Urology at Peking Union Medical College Hospital for nearly 20 years, serving successively as an Attending Physician, Associate Chief Physician, Chief Physician, Professor, and graduate advisor. In 2019, he was appointed Director of the Department of Urology at Beijing Shijitan Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University, a position he held for 13 years. He currently serves as Director of the Men’s Health Management Center and Director of the Department of Urology at Peking University International Hospital.
