Dedicated to diagnosing and treating urological and male diseases with minimal trauma, fully mastering open and minimally invasive surgery, with over 30 years of specialty work, establishing a clinical global perspective and critical thinking. Started minimally invasive surgery for pediatric stones in 2013, collaborated with renowned domestic pediatric stone disease expert Professor Jia Jianye in 2016 to establish a pediatric upper urinary tract stone extracorporeal shock wave lithotripsy center, successfully treating over 300 complex pediatric patients including infants, starting to build a comprehensive prevention, specialized training, and standardized diagnosis and treatment for pediatric stones.
Urological expertise: complex kidney stones, ureteral stones, bladder stones; prostate cancer, kidney cancer, bladder cancer; benign prostatic hyperplasia, urinary incontinence, and male and female voiding dysfunction; complex ureteral and urethral stricture; renal and male reproductive system tuberculosis, etc.
Dr. Zhang Yi graduated from Capital Medical University, where he subsequently earned his master’s and doctoral degrees. He completed further training at Loma Linda University in California and the University of California, Irvine Medical Center (UC Irvine Medical Center).
He has held positions at Xuanwu Hospital of Capital Medical University, the Wu Jieping Urology Medical Center at Peking University, and Peking University International Hospital. He currently serves as a Chief Physician, Associate Professor, and Deputy Director. In addition to his comprehensive mastery of clinical diagnosis, treatment, and technical skills, he pioneered a simulation-based training model for minimally invasive urological techniques in China, which has been recommended by key national institutions. He has served as the chief editor of the textbook series *Illustrated Guide to Endoscopic and Minimally Invasive Techniques in Urology*, contributed to numerous professional publications, and published over 70 academic articles in leading domestic and international journals.
