Expertise

Specialized in primary and revision knee and hip arthroplasty, with particular expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of patellofemoral disorders and osteoporosis. Clinical practice covers a broad spectrum of joint conditions, sports injuries, and osteoporosis-related disorders involving the knee and hip, including osteoarthritis, femoral head osteonecrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, adult developmental dysplasia of the hip, femoral neck fractures in older adults, traumatic arthritis, aseptic loosening after joint replacement, and periprosthetic joint infection. Also experienced in the management of trochlear dysplasia, habitual patellar dislocation or subluxation, traumatic patellar dislocation or subluxation, recurrent patellar dislocation or subluxation, patellofemoral degeneration, patella alta or patella baja, patellofemoral retinacular injury, collateral ligament injury, anterior or posterior cruciate ligament injury, meniscal injury, chondral injury, and osteoporosis. Common presenting symptoms among patients include knee and hip pain, such as pain with walking, exercise, stair climbing, or squatting, as well as swelling, stiffness, clicking, limited range of motion, locking, instability, and dislocation.

Academic and social positions

Dr. YANG Bin currently serves as a member of the Party Committee at Peking University International Hospital, Deputy Director of the Department of Orthopedics, and Secretary of the Party Branch at the Center for Bone and Joint Diseases. He graduated from the Joint Surgery Center at the Southwest Hospital of the Third Military Medical University of the People’s Liberation Army, where he earned a Ph.D. in Orthopedics. He subsequently worked at the General Hospital of the General Armaments Department of the People’s Liberation Army before joining the Department of Orthopedics at Peking University International Hospital in 2015.
