In 2005, Dr. YAO pursued his master’s degree at Beijing Friendship Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University, and in 2018, he pursued his Ph.D. at Beijing Anzhen Hospital, affiliated with Capital Medical University. From October 2015 to April 2016, she completed a six-month fellowship in the Echocardiography Unit of the Department of Cardiology at Peking University Hospital, where she gained in-depth knowledge of cardiac ultrasound.

Dr. YAO is proficient in various resuscitation techniques and procedures for critical cardiac emergencies and specializes in coronary intravascular imaging, including IVUS, FFR, and particularly OCT. In terms of teaching, she has delivered courses to residents and undergraduate students and possesses extensive teaching experience. In research, Dr. YAO has led two research projects and participated in eight others; she has published more than ten academic papers and contributed to four books, serving as associate editor for one of them.
