Traditional Chinese Medicine

The Department of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), built upon the expertise of Peking University First Hospital's TCM team, consists of professionals from multiple generations. Many serve as executive members or presidents in national and Beijing academic societies and as editors for national and international journals, demonstrating strong clinical expertise in TCM. 

The department’s focus includes digestive, endocrine and metabolic, cardiovascular, and dermatological diseases, with extensive experience in the prevention and treatment of subhealth conditions, geriatric depression, and adjunctive therapy for cancer patients.

Distinctive features include acupuncture and physical therapy, utilizing acupuncture, cupping, thread embedding, and integrated TCM approaches for pain syndromes, cervical spondylosis, lumbar disc herniation, stroke, facial paralysis, neurological disorders, and metabolic conditions such as obesity—with excellent results. The department covers 996 square meters, and features traditional Chinese decor and a serene environment, delivering professional, compassionate care and a unique patient experience.
