The Department of Nutrition specializes in the assessment and treatment of patients with malnutrition due to various causes (including undernutrition, overnutrition, and nutritional imbalance). Nutritional diagnosis is conducted through nutrient testing, nutritional assessment, and clinical evaluation.
The department develops and implements individualized nutritional therapies using appropriate pharmaceuticals, medical foods, and carefully selected dietary regimens. The department is staffed by a well-structured team, all of whom hold postgraduate degrees and possess a solid foundation in nutrition science and clinical nutrition therapy.
Emphasizing both clinical service and research, the department undertakes multiple national and provincial research projects. It provides individualized nutritional treatment by integrating clinical medicine and nutrition science, employing multi-faceted, multi-angle, and multi-level approaches.
