Peking University International Hospital implements a vertical nursing management model, with a management structure that runs from the hospital administration to Nursing Management, then to head nurses at the department level and ward/unit level, thereby maximizing the effectiveness of nursing management.
Nursing Management has established a comprehensive, tiered nursing training system. Sixty-one percent of the nursing team hold a bachelor’s degree or higher, including 1 PhD and 15 master’s degree holders; there are 107 specialized nurses. The hospital has been approved by the Chinese Nursing Association as a training base for cardiovascular and blood purification specialized nurses, and has provided training to more than 100 trainees.
In 2024, the hospital took the lead in establishing the Peking University Healthcare International Nursing Center, with the aim of building a world-class center of excellence in nursing and a model for whole life cycle health services.
