Department Introduction

The Department of Sleep Medicine is an emerging interdisciplinary platform integrating clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research, and education, operating independently. Leveraging the expertise of Peking University's Sleep Research Center, it has become a professional training base for sleep medicine specialists in China.

The Department of Sleep Medicine is fully designed and constructed according to international standards. It includes a central control room, outpatient consultation rooms for sleep disorders, and 10 independent sleep monitoring and treatment rooms. The department is equipped with high-definition infrared cameras, highly sensitive two-way intercom systems, and real-time monitoring of patient electro-physiological, video, and audio signals. Each room is equipped with an LCD TV and independent bathroom facilities, providing a comfortable environment for patients and ensuring high-quality sleep monitoring.

The Department of Sleep Medicine has a professional medical, technical, and nursing team and offers integrated services for sleep disorders diagnosis and treatment in various environments, including at-home, bedside, and care within the department.

Its scope covers over 90 sleep disorders characterized by insomnia, hypersomnia, and poor sleep quality. Diagnosis and evaluation of sleep-related disorders adhere to international standards, including: snoring, sleep apnea, abnormal sleep behavior, narcolepsy and lethargy, sleep movement disorders, insomnia, sleep disorders related to circadian rhythm disorders, and child and adolescent sleep disorders.
